Construction is under way on the world’s largest Minecraft-themed building.
The world’s tallest building is being built on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
The 1.3 million-square-foot building will house a number of studios and offices, as well as restaurants, shops and residential spaces.
The building, called the Minecraft Tower, will be located on the site of the old Manhattan Times Building on East 72nd Street.
The Times Building was demolished in 2008.
The project is expected to be completed in 2019.
The structure will feature an interior that’s reminiscent of the Minecraft world, with glass panels and a glass roof that will be covered in a thin layer of translucent paint.
Construction will begin in November.
The Minecraft Tower is part of a larger project to create a Minecraft-inspired architecture.
This project was commissioned by the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO).
The Minecraft team has also been working on a new public space in the heart of Manhattan, called The Waterfront, which will include retail shops, cafes and public spaces.
